After undergoing surgery on his knee and starting off terribly, Tiger Woods some how came out on top. Woods even questioned his playing ability but his peers and others around him knew that he was capable of playing and even winning the US Open.
This will be the first playoff at the U.S. Open, the only major that goes 18 holes of overtime, since Retief Goosen defeated Mark Brooks at Southern Hills in 2001, and it was all made possible by Woods, one of the greatest clutch putters players of all time.
Woods standing over an all-or-nothing putt on the last hole delivered again.
"It feels very similar to what Valhalla felt like," Woods said. "If I didn't make that putt, I don't get to continue to keep playing. At best, I gave myself a chance to win the tournament tomorrow. And that's all I can ask for."
Woods now faces Rocco Mediate for a chance to win the US Open.

I'm not the kind of guy to watch Nascar but I do know about Dale Earnhardt Jr. Dale jr. recently ended his 76-race winless streak Sunday at the Sprint Cup.
NASCAR's most popular driver gave his new boss, Rick Hendrick, his second victory of the season as he somehow squeezed enough gas out of his last fill up to go three laps beyond the regulation finish in the Lifelock 400.
"I mean, my fans are happy and I'm happy for them. The other half are going to tear this apart on how we won this race. But I got the trophy and I got the points. I got to see my team and my owner and my family tonight as happy as they've been in a long time. ... It's a pretty big day for me."
Earnhardt won this one by gambling on the last 55 laps on the two-mile oval, including three laps of overtime, without stopping for gas.
This is his first win in over two years and Jr. gave the credit to the crew chief Tony Eury.
"We miss it by one lap, we finish 25th," Eury said. "If we pit and put fuel in it we're going to finish 25th. So, who cares? Go for it."
Dale jr. has 76 cup wins and he just ended his 76 race winless skid; on fathers day of all day's.
