If you never watched politics on Sunday morning or never watch watch TV for that matter, then you may not know who Tim Russert is.
Tim Russert was the well respected anchor of NBC's "Meet the Press." He died suddenly of a heart attack on Friday while preparing for his weekly broadcast. The network's Washington bureau chief was 58 years young old and his death was very unexpected.
The President said of Tim Russert, when informed of the terrible news."An institution in both news and politics for more than two decades. Tim was a tough and hardworking newsman. He was always well-informed and thorough in his interviews. And he was as gregarious off the set as he was prepared on it."
Senator Obama said, "I hope that everybody in the news business thinks about the standard that he set."
NBC interrupted their regular broadcasting program to break the sad news of Russert's death. They even continued for several hours (of coverage) without taking a commercial break.
There will be a one-hour special airing tonight at 10 p.m. ET on NBC to commemorate his great work and loved personality.
Tom Brokaw and Brian Williams will also be anchoring a special edition of of the evening news dedicated to Russert.
Tom Brokaw will also anchor the Father’s Day edition of "Meet the Press" this Sunday.
"I used to watch "Meet the Press" on Sunday and I was very shocked when I heard he die. I didn't know him personally but he seemed to be a stand up guy, he knew how to control a show where everyone wanted to talk. He also used to ask tough questions and get answers; he had a way he did things, very professional. He will truly be missed."

Lakers vs The Celtics: Bittersweet
What started off as an old fashioned blow out, quickly became the race to a Game 4 win. The Lakers accomplished an 18 point lead in the first half but later gave the momentum to the Celtics in the second half.
Trailing by as many as 24 points during the game, the Celtics created a 21-3 run that closed out the third quarter as one of the greatest comebacks in Finals history.
After the first quarter Boston was down 21 points, the largest deficit ever in a Finals game but they still found a way to climb out of it, trumping the Lakers 97-91.
No team has ever recovered from a 3-1 deficit in the finals. Right now this is all or nothing for the Lakers. They can either give big or give up, go strong or go home.
Rivalries never die.
